Definetly,After read all the positive reviews, I’m thinking that amazon made a mistake and sent me a different product…this pump doesnt work at all…my baby is 4 months old and I’ve been breastfeeding him since he’s born with no weight problems-so my milk supply is normal.
I bought this pump to try giving him a bottle eventually just to make the habit for an emergency or future situations…and I’m so sorry of this buy…
At first,the user manual says that you need to be relaxed…how can you relax with an incredible annoying pump?? It takes more than half an hour to made it barely work.By the way,why to sterilize a pump that you’ll need to be manipulating once and again trying to find the way to make it work?
Second, its amazingly noisy…I even need to close the rooms door to avoid my baby to be awake with the noise
An finally,after almost an hour of fight,just get one ounce…worthless!
I’d try to return it to avent, but they say its a personal item so I can’t return it… The worst customer service ever…

This pump did not work for me. I couldn’t get any milk out with it, not even a single drop. After pumping for several minutes and getting nothing, I set aside the pump and easily expressed a bit manually, and then tried it in the pump again. Again, nothing at all came out. I could tell there was suction because I could feel it, but apparently not enough suction to draw out milk. It is definitely not a question of milk supply because I have been breastfeeding my baby for 5 months and he is growing like a weed, and I am able to manually express 4 oz in about 20 minutes. I am going to try to return this item to the store where I bought it and go for an electric pump.

My daughter had her first child and was very successful pumping with this pump. It is also very easy to take around and she takes it to University with her every day so that we don’t run out of milk and she doesn’t feel like she missed a feeding.
It also comes with extra parts in case you lose them, so far we haven’t but it’s nice ot know they’re there

I can not express how much I liked this pump. I tried several manual ones before getting this one – and it was the best thing. I used it to pump for both of my kids for a year with each. Can’t be happier. The only thing I wish they would include more spare parts – like the star shaped thing – but I think it comes with 2 anyway. It lasted for both kids!
Another plus is that you can sterilize it really well – diswasher did not do any damage to it. Not too many parts and cords to keep track of – perfectly mobile – use it anywhere!
This pump gets the milk flowing – as long as you don’t have other distractions. I can not see how any electric pump would be able to do it faster – since it does depend on your milk flow.
I would recommend this pump to anyone…. just use it right and you will have no dissapointment.
